Fingallians GAA Third Level Education Bursary 2025/2026 Academic year
The newly established Fingallians GAA Third Level Education Bursary aims to financially support students attending third-level education.
The bursary is kindly supported by a Fingallians philanthropic donor who values education and wants to assist young Fingallians members with the growing costs associated with attending and completing third level education in Ireland.
A number of financial bursaries, up to a maximum value of €2,500 per academic year, are available to eligible applicants. See eligibility criteria below.
Note: Applications are made and awarded on an annual basis. This application is applicable to the 2025/2026 academic year only and the application closing date is 31st Oct 2025.
The Fingallians education sub-committee reserves the right to alter the number and value of scholarships awarded each year.
Eligibility Criteria
· To be deemed eligible for this bursary, the applicant must be a playing member of Fingallians GAA club.
· Enrolled in or applying for a full-time Further or Higher Education course in a recognised Irish university or college.
In addition to the above, the applicant should meet one or more of the following:
· A recipient of the SUSI Maintenance and/or Fees Grant for the 2025/2026 academic year.
· Experiencing financial hardship at the time of application.
· Be considered part of an underrepresented group (from a socioeconomically disadvantaged background, student with a disability, student from a minority community, mature student) attending higher education in Ireland, as specified by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science as a priority group. All applications will be managed in a confidential manner, adhering to club privacy and confidentiality policies.
The application and assessment process for this bursary is built on the foundations of trust and transparency. It is within this manner applications will be reviewed, considered and awarded.
